Thanks to the donors and the collected funds from the 2% we received in previous years, this year we sent all families who are members of our association a GIFT - vitamin packages to support immunity.

Book A Slightly Different Kingdom (Trochu iné kráľovstvo)

For World Down Syndrome Day 2021, the Down Syndrome Society published its second publication. While the first book mapped Down syndrome from a professional perspective, A Slightly Different Kingdom is a work of fiction. The author, Mária Srnáková, mother of 26-year-old Marek with Down syndrome, puts on paper with kind humor the amusing, as well as the serious aspects of the life of a family living with Down syndrome.

The book's message? Down syndrome might catch you off guard at first, but ultimately life goes on with it. People with Down syndrome and their families eventually live their normal lives. The book will entertain and educate, opening the door to a world you might not know.
